Office Assistant

 

Mercury Z has an immediate opening for an ambitious person looking for a growth opportunity.   We are in search of someone who can fulfill a variety of tasks ranging from assisting with inventory management of tools and equipment, assist with clerical work (updating computer systems, reaching out to contractors and suppliers, etc), follow up on orders, and provide other “office support”, as required.  If you think you have what it takes to join a fast-paced and growing environment, we want to talk to you!

Duties:

  • Tracking and receiving incoming inventory (telecom equipment, IT equipment, tools, trucks, etc.)
  • Update and maintain accurate records on our inventory system
  • Organizing existing inventory
  • Boxing and shipping inventory to projects
  • Accept returned inventor from completed projects
  • Selling excess inventory 
  • Outbound telephone follow-up to existing and potential contractors
  • Assist our IT, Recruiting and HR departments in caling for new projects

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel
  • Able to maintain inventory, track orders, etc in our applications
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to pack and lift inbound/outbound packages
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment

Experience:

  • At least one year working in an office environment
