Telecom Field Technicians Needed

We are seeking copper qualified Field Technicians for admittance to our FiOS Triple Play Certification Program.  To be eligible, you must have experience working with copper installations and repair.  Our paid training program provides you with the methods and processes that results in our technicians making between $30-$45 /hour.   You will receive 40 hours of classroom training, 40 hours of On-the-Job training and supervisory support as you work to meet certification requirements. 

The Certificate of Accomplishment certifies the attainment of classroom knowledge, validation of the quality of your work, and signifies compliance in meeting industry performance objectives.  Come join our team as positions are limited.

Location – Dallas, TX (NW area)

Start Date – As soon as the classes fill up!!


  • You will be required to pass the classroom test and complete a quality measured installation at the end of your on-the-job training to continue in the certification process
  • You will be required to work a minimum of six (6) weeks in the field to be eligible for performance and quality evaluations to complete your certification
  • You will be responsible for tasks in connection with service order and repair activity on copper and fiber network facilities.
  • Installing customer-serving terminal and into the customer’s premise, as well as installation activity at the fiber hub.  
  • Installs, removes, rearranges, programs, tests, troubleshoots and maintains fiber network services.
  • Installs and configures routers, set top boxes.
  • Interacts with the Fiber Solution Center as needed. May install appropriate inside wire/cable (such as Cat 5E, Coaxial cable).
  • Installs, maintains and repairs outside and inside fiber equipment/facilities including inside wiring and fiber jumpers at the distribution hub. Activates the ONT. 
  • Interfaces with customer to negotiate the placement of equipment, may assist with account registration, e-mail, and web access, and training the customer on how to use the new equipment.
  • Ensures the customer is satisfied with the work that has been done. 
  • Responds to inquiries and provides follow-up.
  • Effects problem solving where appropriate.
  • Utilizes various test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and takes appropriate maintenance action.


  • One - Two years of job related experience or equivalent experience.
  • Copper technician skills preferred.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to carry and lift ladders, toolboxes, test equipment, etc.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Work safely in variety of environments.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Truck (Company trucks can be requested and will be provided to first requesters)
  • Tools – You must provide and maintain your own tools (except power meters & fault Detectors)
  • Able to meet medical and driver certification requirements as established by the DOT Federal Highway Safety Act.  Not restricted to daylight hours.


  • Monday-Saturday (occasionally Sunday), typically between 8am and 8pm.
